	What is a Theatre Angel? Theatre Angels purchase series tickets on behalf of individuals who would otherwise be unable to attend Children’s Showcase performances. In order to respect the anonymity of the recipients, the tickets are given to local charitable organizations for distribution. What are the benefits of being a Theatre Angel? Ø As a Theatre Angel, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation. Ø Your name will appear on all of our showcase programs, and on a billboard in the lobby of Cleland Theatre at each of our performances. Ø Most importantly, you will help instill a love of live performing arts in children.

	How live theatre benefits children and families. In an age of increasing electronic media, live performance is so important to the development of healthy children. Families leave the theatre conversing about what they have seen and how the other audience members reacted to the performance. Audience members say it gives them a real feeling of community.
